The first agency visit for the term for the 2nd years was great fun. Yesterday we all headed for Isobel. They all did excellent work for the Rich Tea brief set by Creative Director, Ben Stump – great to see him and creative team, Dan & Georgia, so impressed with the standard of thinking.
No tea to go with the Rich Tea biscuits though – but, hurray, lots of beer instead!
Looking at different markets and how we should be advertising within them and know when to advertise outside of the obvious. Finding out what our client really wants so we get those Eureka moments; getting on a bus or getting into bed, we now have all the tips for getting those great ideas flowing!
Julie Botwood, 3rd year.
Welcome to the new Bucks first years – Freshers’ Week is over and now it’s down to work – and lots of fun. Adam&eveDDB creative director and bucks creative advertising grad, Simon Lloyd, came to give the alumni talk at the Bucks Welcome – his inspirational talk went down very well with the whole of the new intake! Here is is with the Bucks ad course first year. Since Simon left the course we have watched him on his rise in the advertising world – Adam&eveDDB is the top ad agency in the country, famous for it’s John Lewis Christmas campaigns – it is also Ad Age’s International Agency of the Year.
The New Blood Festival went extremely well – with lots of interest in the graduating students. Four of the students, Sam & King, Ellis & Max, won ‘Ones To Watch’ Awards
All the 2nd years had a great adventure in New York this year. See the write-up of their shenanigans written by senior lecturer, Phil Dearman and published in Campaign Magazine this week.
The end of year show ‘Blood, Sweat and Beers’ was a great success showing the final ad books off to the world. First their was the show at Bucks, then on to London. Advertising agency, Isobel, kindly hosted the show in their lovely offices in New Cavendish Street. Lots of industry friends turned up to see the work and a good evening was had by all. Lots of contacts made and lots of beer drunk. Worth all the hard work!
