We’ve had a host of fantastic visitors to Bucks – here they are…

The second years have had lots of exciting workshops from some inspiring tutors here are a some of them. First we have Bobbie Hardwick, digital strategist from Zone – running a 2 week digital workshop – great to see that digital also includes lots of messing about own the chalk boards!

Christian Hartmann from LizH – top London headhunters, came to talk to the 3rd years and give them book-crits. Christian looks after juniors at LizH, it was great to hear exactly what the next steps should be after leaving uni.

He was extremely impressed with the standard of work – the 3rd years are all busy on their D&AD New Blood competition entries – so fingers crossed we will be winning a pencil or two!

Gemskii – writer and actor, ran her 2 day workshop for the 1st years. She worked through her confidence building and presentation skills programme using her many acting skills, the students loved it.

John Cross – Creative director at AKQA (and Bucks alumni)

The wonderful Milo Williamsbucks alumni and brilliant freelance creative spent 2 days with the 2nd and 3rd years – running a workshop and giving advice and critique on their work – it was great having you with us, Milo – please come again!

Another amazing workshop for the 1st years with stand-up comedian Rick Kiesewetter, an Asian-American comic. Adopted in Japan and then raised in a small town in New Jersey. Served in US Army Intelligence in Germany and has been living in the UK since 1993. Rick has been coming to Bucks to share his skills on presentation and storytelling with the students for the last decade – it’s a brilliant workshop with the students finding themselves with a wealth of new talents.

More storytelling for the 1st years with strategist and author, Anthony Tasgal – Tas to all who know him. Storytelling is a tremendous skill for creatives and the inimitable was Tas introduces it is inspirational to all.
